fiadhaich is the Scottish Gaelic word for “wild” while many cultures derive their symbology for the wild from predators (wolves, bears, lions…) the Gàidheal connected the deer, or most notably the stag, to represent the lochs, mountains and trees over the great highlands and glens.
Spiritually many clans (including my own) feature a stag upon their clan badge, recognizing the power the deer held.
Even the month of October is named after the rutting as their bellows could be heard as the leaves began to fall.
Their teeth are small, less than .5” around the curl. Each tooth is unique no two alike, several necklaces available.
